Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova
Yesterday Jarno,Aada,Venla and I went to the Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova Museum. This museum was half modern art and half old Turku. The old Turku part was discovered stone basements that were over 700 years old. Luckily the tour was in English!
Turku was plagued by many fires up until the last one 120 years ago. Turku was the capital of Finland for many years. When the last fire came through the entire city was destroyed except for the church even through the bells melted. The only thing besides the church that was saved were basements . Nobody knew that these basements/cellars even existed. They are all over 600 years old and date back to the time when Sweden was in control of Finland.

For years I've been saying we need to get back to a stricter definition of 'art.'
